WPD raising funds for Special Olympics ND

Polar Plunge 2021-InstaThe Williston Police Department needs you! WPD's goal is to reach $2,500 as part of the Williston Polar Plunge benefiting Special Olympics North Dakota.

This event raises funds to further Special Olympics’ mission to provide year-round training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities; giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families.

The Williston Polar Plunge is scheduled for Saturday, April 17 at Spring Lake Park, with the first plunge beginning at 12:30pm!

The following WPD members have agreed to take the plunge so let's raise those funds!

  • $250 | Public Information Officer Zachary Schwartz
  • $500 | Chief David Peterson
  • $1,000 | Human Resources Catherine Cagle
  • $2,500 | Commissioner Tate Cymbaluk
