Absentee Ballot Information

Absentee Ballots are only valid from January 1st to December 31st each year. You MUST re-apply each year to be able to vote absentee in an election.

Election Petition Information

Election petitions are now available for the 2020 election season!  To obtain an election petition packet, please stop by the City of Williston Finance Department Office (22 E Broadway) or download it online

Positions up for Election

There are currently 2 seats for city commissioners that are up for election.

Candidates for city offices are required to collect signatures of 10 percent of the electors who voted for that office in the last city election; however, no more than 300 signatures are required. 

Requirements:

You must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of the city for at least 9 months preceding the election.

 Deadline:

All petitions with the appropriate number of signatures must be turned into the City of Williston Finance Department (22 E Broadway) by 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2020.
