Welcome to the City of Williston Building Department.
The City of Williston has jurisdiction over the city limits and the surrounding one mile extra territorial area.
The building inspection department issues all building, mechanical, plumbing, fuel and gas piping, moving and demolition permits for the city of Williston and one-mile extraterritorial area. For more information or questions regarding different types of permits or permit requirements for new construction, alteration, finishing or remodeling of residential and commercial buildings, please contact our office by phone or email.
Our department conducts all the inspections related to building, mechanical, plumbing and fuel and gas piping permits within our jurisdiction. Please call our office at (701) 577-8115 to schedule all building, plumbing, HVAC and gas piping inspections. Electrical inspections and permits can be obtained through the State Electrical Board. A 24 hour period is required for inspections. Inspections
will be done on a A.M./P.M. basis. If you schedule an A.M. inspection,
the inspector will be there sometime in the morning. If you want an
exact time, you must indicate that with your request and be on site
during the inspection.
